KW Press Release – Universal Hydraulic Lift System (HLS)

HLS Universal Kit

KW Suspensions announces their Hydraulic Lift System (HLS) Universal Application for Sports Cars equipped with coilovers. Enthusiasts are able to retrofit their existing KW coilovers kit or similar coilover kits with the HLS system. The HLS provides additional road clearance for lowered vehicles. A hydraulic cylinder unit is installed between the spring perch and the main spring. When expanded, a range of 30mm to 45mm of lift is produced, thereby helping sport cars avoid road clearance difficulties. The HLS pump is installed in or near the spare tire location. Change in height is activated remotely by a small keychain transmitter avoiding the need to run additional wires through the vehicle.

ORION Sub Challenge Test Results

Orion Car AudioOrion Sub Challenge
At Orion Car Audio, they know that if you want to BE the best, you have to BEAT the best, so they decided to put that motto to the test by placing the Orion HCCA Subwoofer head-to-head with its closest competition. They took great pains to make sure that the test is both fair and easy to repeat.

In fact, they are keeping the challenge going by laying out their test methodology and challenging their competitors to try the same test and see if they get the same results. May the best woofer win – and in their tests that was the Orion HCCA!

KW Press Release – VW Jetta Variant 1, 2 & 3 Coilovers

35280084

KW suspensions announces their stainless steel constructed coil-over for the Volkswagen Jetta V, (includes 2.5l and 1.9 TDi and Wagon models.) All 3 Variants of the KW suspension line up will be available. Important characteristics such as safety, quality and performance are all taken into consideration with each KW coilover design. Each vehicle application is specifically designed and engineered for a proper range of motion, min/max weight loads and min/max lowering. All these requirements are met while retaining it’s performance handling characteristics. Each KW coilover suspension is produced with unique stainless steel “inox-line” technology. The stainless steel construction internally and externally provides long term durability and corrosion resistance from the elements.

The KW coilover suspensions for the Volkswagen Jetta V enables the owner to lower their vehicle 35-65mm on the front axle and rear axle and retains enough travel to handle maximuim load and dynamic loads during driving. Variant 1 with it´s preset dampening rates permits customized lowering of the suspension and creates an optimized balance of sportiness, comfort and safety. Variant 2 is the ideal system for sporty drivers, who also wish to make modifications in ride height and rebound dampening. Drivers are able to adapt the suspension to their driving style. Variant 3 permits an even higher degree of customization to the suspension. Adjustable (and independent reacting) rebound and compression damping allows a truly individual performance driving setup for those technically demanding drivers. Compression dampening adjustment is conducted in the low-speed range, while the high-speed set-up, so decisive for driving comfort, has been pre set by KW engineers. All KW coilovers pass stringent German TUV safety and quality testing standards. Each kit is sold TUV approved.

AEM Press Release – Scion tC Plug and Play F/IC

30-1960 & Harness

AEM INTRODUCES PLUG AND PLAY F/IC FOR 05-06 SCION TC RACECARS!

AEM Performance Electronics is pleased to introduce its first ever plug and play piggyback Fuel and Ignition Controller (F/IC) for 05-06 Scion tC racecars (Part # 30-1960).  This kit combines the power and drivability of the F/IC with a plug and play harness, start up calibration, and “quick start guide” for fast, easy installation and simplified tuning.

F/IC OVERVIEW
The AEM F/IC is an economical solution for controlling fuel and ignition on vehicles that do not require stand-alone engine management, including variable cam timing engines like VTEC, VVTi and MiVEC.  The F/IC gives users with OBD-II race vehicles and non-factory forced induction systems the ability to retard ignition and deliver accurate amounts of fuel without the need for outdated FMUs or “boost hiding” controllers. This system works parallel to the factory ECU preventing tuning limitations due to complex factory timing patterns. 21×17 maps with configurable load and RPM breakpoints are easily accessed with the F/IC’s Windows-based tuning software. The F/IC draws power from PC USB interface for quick and easy calibration changes.

MORE APPLICATIONS COMING SOON!
AEM will continue to develop plug and play F/IC solutions for popular applications, and will be releasing application specific start up calibrations, quick start guides, and Patch/Extension Harnesses for most applications currently covered by the F/IC.  Visit www.aempower.com for an up to date list of releases.

PLUG AND PLAY F/IC KEY FEATURES

  • Plugs directly into the factory harness.  No rewiring necessary.
  • Includes start up calibrations.
  • Enables MAF-clamping/ recalibration.
  • Runs in conjunction with factory ECU.  CAN-BUS not affected.
  • Among the only piggyback systems which can decrease pulse-width, allowing larger aftermarket injectors while maintaining proper air/fuel ratios.
  • 64kb of internal data logging.

F/IC INSTRUCTION VIDEOS

Visit the video gallery at www.aempower.com for F/IC overview and instruction videos.

AEM F/IC is legal in California only for racing vehicles which may never be used upon a highway.
