Gone are the days of the red lacquered wood sled with steel rails. Today’s kid is of an iPhone generation and expects hexacomb alloy, carbon fiber and only the most aerodynamic of designs. Well, that kid may be out of luck if he needs it to spec, but the Porsche Design Bobsled is damn close. This sled is exclusively designed by the Porsche Design Studio and tested by German safety standards agency (TÜV). As you would expect, this sled is designed with the Porsche philosophy at it’s core and will quickly and nimbly cut through the snow thanks to directional stability, a low centre of gravity, ease of steering, good braking and low weight (only approx. 4 kg).
