ACT Camrys And Solaras Puts Down Power To The Pavement!

Advanced Clutch Technology (ACT) has released new high performance clutch kits and components for the 88-91 Toyota Camry 2.5L V6, 2004-2006 Toyota Camry 3.0L V6, 2004-2006 Toyota Camry 3.3L V6, and the 2002-2006 Toyota Camry LE and Solara 2.4L I-4.

ACT’s clutch kits for the applications listed above feature a Heavy Duty or Xtreme pressure plate that incorporates hardened diaphragm fingers for decreased wear. The Heavy Duty pressure plate provides a 29 percent increase in clamp force over the stock unit and the Xtreme pressure plate provides a 61 percent increase in clamp force over the stock unit. Both pressure plates meet SFI Specification 1.1.

The ACT Street Clutch Kits combine a Heavy Duty or Xtreme pressure plate and a Performance Organic Street Disc. AEM More Power For the Nismo 370Z!

Some vehicles are built for performance with precision engineering and dedication to producing stand out results. The 2009 and 2010 Nissan 370Z Nizmo with 3.7 liter V6 engine is no exception. Even with a stock 303 horsepower at the wheels and 249 ft/lbs of torque, AEM engineers saw room for improvement on this high performance vehicle.

AEM has been a pioneer in the development of air intake systems for powerful import models, like the 370Z, since it was founded in 1987. Recently, AEM has developed a series of intakes referred to as ETI or Electronically Tuned Intake systems. This new twist on air intakes utilizes specially tuned circuitry that works with the vehicle’s electronics allowing large power gains. With traditional designs, maintaining a large tube diameter near the MAF sensor without downsizing or restricting airflow would, in many cases, cause issues with the vehicle’s electronics. With ETI technology the MAF sensor is not confused by the air flow change and continues to supply the right signals to the computer for proper fuel delivery. This allows air intake designs like AEM’s 41-1002P and 41-1002C to maintain the calibration intended by the factory while enjoying the benefits of a low restriction air intake system.

“The new Nismo Nissan 370Z ETI AEM intake system is a true cold air intake,” says AEM Co-founder John Concialdi. “It consists of two 2.75 inch diameter intake pipes that were developed for use on the standard edition Nissan 370Z. However, there were some minor differences between the normal 370Z and the Nismo Edition. A front mount oil cooler made us redesign the location of our windshield washer reservoir. With the increased reported horsepower rating from the manufacturer we dyno’d the Nismo 370Z and realized there was more potential for power. So we created a new ETI calibration specially designed for the Nismo 370Z that helped us pick up an estimated 19.7 hp and 14.6 ft-lbs of torque at 7100 RPM. The gains with the 41-1002 intake were much better than those seen on the standard Nissan 370Z.”

Concialdi also commented on another feature that makes this AEM cold air intake stand out, the fact that the 370Z NISMO front bumper does NOT need to be removed. This adds to the ease of installation and servicing for the 41-1002P and 41-1002C tuned intake and filter system.

The 41-1002P intake has tubes with a polished aluminum finish and the 41-1002C has tubes with a gun metal colored powder coated finish. Both come with AEM Dryflow air filters, which require no oil, are very durable and are easy to clean and reuse. Since the OEM windshield washer reservoir was in the way, both parts also come with a redesigned windshield washer reservoir that provides needed clearance. AEM’s new ETI system for the 2009 and 2010 Nissan 370Z Nismo is a must have upgrade for drivers looking to improve power and performance.

Moroso Separate The Oil From the Air On Your 11+ Ford Mustang GT!

From the factory, excess crankcase vapors and residual oil are vented back into the intake manifold. The Moroso Air-Oil Separator is plumbed into the PCV system and captures this oil mist to reduce detonation and deposits on the intake track including the valves themselves. K&N Release More Power From Your Genesis Coupe 2.0 Turbo!

The Hyundai Genesis Coupe models with 300+ horsepower V6 engines may get the majority of the media coverage, however, it’s expected that half of all Genesis Coupe sales will be models equipped with the sporty 2.0L turbo engine.

The Genesis Coupe’s 2.0L turbo engine was developed out of a cooperation effort between Hyundai, Mitsubishi and Chrysler. The Genesis Coupe’s 2.0L turbo engine is essentially the same engine found in Mitsubishi’s legendary Lancer Evolution cars.

2010 Hyundai Genesis Coupe models are highly capable machines. However, K&N engineers are constantly in pursuit of more power. After looking under the hood, K&N engineers knew that, with their expertise, these cars were capable of more.

K&N intake 69-5302TTK replaces the intake tract with a textured black powder coated mandrel-bent aluminum intake tube and a K&N High-Flow Air Filter for high air-flow delivery. The 69-5302TTK incorporates a heat shield custom made for the Genesis, which retains use of the factory fresh air inlet, and helps to isolate the air filter from warm air under the hood. This intake system provides improved performance you can feel.

The result of this hard work and enthusiasm for performance is an estimated 7 extra horsepower at the wheels. K&N’s Research and Development Department tested a 2010 Hyundai Genesis Coupe with a 2.0L turbocharged L4 engine on our in-house dynamometer. Results showed horsepower increases throughout the RPM range with an estimated horsepower gain of 7.05 horsepower @ 4,000 RPM! Equally important is the extra 9.27 lb-ft of torque this car picked up at 4,000 RPM.

This air intake system uses a conical shaped, carbon fiber top, High-Flow Air Filter, part RP-4600. The filter captures harmful particles, provides high airflow, and long service life. This K&N air filter performs for up to 100,000 miles before service is required, depending on driving conditions.

For increased service intervals, K&N intake 69-5302TTK can be used with K&N Precharger filter wrap, part number 22-8036PK. Precharger filter wraps are made from a durable polyester material containing uniform micron openings which will stop small dirt particles; yet add little restriction to the airflow of the air filter.

69-5302TTK is a complete system which takes about 90 minutes or less to install with common hand tools. It uses stock mounting points, requires no drilling, and is covered by the K&N Million Mile Limited Warranty.
