AeroCatch manufactures what may be one of the ‘coolest’ items to his the streets in recent years. Forget fiddling with standard latch-style hood pins, toss those old flat locking style latches and start giving every aftermarket hood and truck the respect it deserves with AeroCatch Panel Latches.

The AeroCatch Panel Latches come in two different versions; a ‘Flush’ style that mounts from underneath the body panel or the ‘Plus Flush’ style which mounts on top of the body panel. Each version is available in a keyed locking or non-locking version.
Injen has just released their Super SES Titanium Tip Exhaust System for the 2008 Subaru Impreza WRX STI.
The Injen SES1204TT exhaust will increase airflow through its larger diameter piping, while flowing into an oval tuned transverse muffler. This sporty exhaust system comes with massive 4″ quad titanium tips, burt blue ring and rolled edge, that exudes POWER! Finishing features include the signature series embossed Injen logo and the classy engraved ESX logo that defines the overall look.

The concept is simple. Open the door to imagination with high quality, interchangeable and unique vehicles. Each vehicles’ parts are interchangeable, from spoilers and wings to wheels and tires. Automoblox also claims that these toys provide an educational value, however, if you’ve already got your license and are playing with these, you probably aren’t going to benefit too much.
Unlike air bag suspension systems of the past where consumers must piece together a complete kit from scratch, often at a compromise to reliability and performance, Ksport’s revolutionary Airtech Suspension System comes as a complete, model specific kit that is 100% bolt-on with no custom modifications needed.
Airtech Suspension System kits come complete with Viair air compressors, all necessary wiring and plumbing materials, instructions, and height adjustment controls for in-car and remote use. With the convenience of Airtech’s bolt-on installation, excellent ride comfort and versatility, KSport has changed the way enthusiasts approach and utilize high quality air bag suspension systems. With no compromise in quality, safety and performance, Airtech Suspension Systems are a must have item for anyone interested in leading-egde technology, at a competitive price.

According to a recent press release, UPS is leading the shipping industry in ‘Green Technology’ by upgrading their fleet of trucks to Hydraulic Hybrid Vehicles (HHV) which will deliver better fuel economy and have environmental benefits (fewer emissions, reduced CO2, etc). According to UPS, HHVs store energy by compressing hydraulic fluid under pressure in a large chamber – I assume this is then used to power the vehicle in lieu of using gasoline.
What does this all mean? 50% Better Fuel Efficiency and 40% Reduction in Emissions. Does that mean you be seeing a 50% reduction in the ‘gas tax’ UPS tacks onto your bill each month? Eh, don’t be so sure. Although the invest is claimed to ‘pay for itself’ within 3 years, it’ll probably be a while before those savings trickle down to you.
Rumors are swirling that Turbo & High-Tech Performance Magazine is being taken off life support in the near future. It’s no surprise, as the size of the issues have contracted in the recent past and presumably readership as well.

I have to admit, losing Turbo does sadden me, as they were the first magazine that got me ‘into’ the sport compact scene. My earliest memory had to be back in 1998, and it was a cover story devoted to an Blue RX-7 put together by APEXi/XS. This has to be marked as the milestone which set forth my journey from enthusiast, to WD, to Manufacturer and ultimately to where I am now.
So for now, it’s so long. Thanks for paving the way and opening our eyes to all the possibilities that this has become.

Feast your eyes on the new Tesla Model S. This 4-door 5-seater sedan is based on the same lithium-ion technology that powers the Tesla Roadster, however, instead of being based on a Lotus Elise – this model is being built from the ground up. Thanks to a new $250 million dollar facility in San Jose, CA; Tesla will be able to start production of their own, original automobile.
Tesla is claiming 240 miles per charge, and 0-60 in less then 6 seconds. Base price on this bad boy will be around $60,000 and go on sale in late 2010 (watch out Chevy Volt).
For the real man who doesn’t want to use the fruity shampoo’s his girlfriend has left in the shower – the car gods have answered. Well, maybe not the car gods, but someone with a funny/quirky idea.

Available in four distinct ‘blends’ – Camaro, Jeep, Mustang and of course, Corvette. I’m not sure if this stuff smells like a Carburetor, Racing Fuel or what – but I do know it’s only for the true Gearhead.

I’m not exactally talented in the art ‘n crafts department, but these look like a pretty fun project this Halloween.
